Rebecca E. Crandall is a graduate of Converse College (B.S. in Computer Science and B.A. in Politics, Honors) and the University of North Carolina Law School (J.D., Honors). While in law school, she served as publications editor for the NC Journal of Law and Technology, won the ASCAP Nathan Burkan Memorial Competition in Copyright Law, and was a Trial Law Academy Novice Competition Finalist. Ms. Crandall's practice focuses on all aspects of intellectual property, including counseling and representing clients in various trademark, patent, and copyright matters. She advises clients with respect to trademark clearance and licensing and represents them before U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and the U.S. Federal Circuit Court of Appeals in registration, opposition and cancellation proceedings. She also represents clients in state and federal courts in cases involving claims of copyright, trademark and patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, breach of contract, and other business torts. Ms. Crandall has represented clients in domain name disputes, including ICANN proceedings before the National Arbitration Forum. As a registered patent attorney, she offers clients her services in both patent preparation and prosecution. She is licensed to practice in North Carolina and before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, U.S. Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of North Carolina, and District of Colorado.

Additionally, Ms. Crandall is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Young Lawyers Division of the Wake and Durham County Bar Associations. She has participated in multiple projects including Race for the Cure, Lunch with a Lawyer program, Ask a Lawyer Day, clothing drives and canned food drives.
